Salming passes away
The legendary Toronto defenseman Börje Salming lost his battle with ALS on the 24th of November 2022.
A whole hockeyworld is in mourning because of the news of the passing of the legendary swede who made way, not only for swedish players, but for the whole of Europe. Being a very closed league at the beginning, made for the strong and tough men of North America, Salming showed that players from abroad definately had a place in the world's best hockey league. It is a time of sadness but also respect and love for one of hockey's most humble and dedicated men.
Börje, you will be truly missed.
