Power Outtake
A blackout at the Verizon Center in Washington DC struck the game between the Capitals and the Girls in round 20.
The Girls had taken a 0-2 lead at the mid of the 2nd period when the power went out at the start of the 3rd and the players were forced to sit it out in their respective locker rooms until the service personel managed to get the power back on.
After the break the Capitals looked like a completely different team and managed, not only to tie the game, but to score 4 unanswered goals on 10 shots for a 4-2 win.
Burakovsky came in big with two goals and defenseman Mike Green had 3 assists.
The coach for the Girls, Klitos Klitou, referred to the last period of the game as "unreal".
